Frequently asked questions

Answers about Optimizer, Uninstaller, Visuals, and recovery.

Does ResoTweak apply everything automatically?

No. Optimizer options are staged first. You can review the selected changes before applying them.

Why is an optimizer option unavailable?

Some settings are only relevant on specific versions of Windows or hardware. ResoTweak hides unsupported actions instead of pretending they work.

What does verified software mean in Uninstaller?

A verified entry has a trusted publisher signature or a clear Windows uninstall record. Unverified does not automatically mean unsafe; it means the item needs more care before removal.

Can I remove UWP apps and browser extensions?

Yes. Uninstaller separates desktop software, packaged Windows apps, and browser extensions so each removal flow can use the correct Windows or browser action.

Why is the display preview only an approximation?

The preview uses an image to explain your calibration. Your real display, game, driver settings, and HDR state can still affect the final result.

How do I restore an applied setting?

Use the relevant restore action in ResoTweak where available, or review the feature history and the Windows setting it describes.
